Welcome to the home page of the Office of the Carson City District Attorney.  The Carson City District Attorney's Office serves the community of Carson City, Nevada.  The District Attorney's Office is divided into two distinct divisions:

• The criminal division represents the people of Nevada in all criminal matters;
• The civil division provides legal representation to the Carson City Board of Supervisors, other elected Carson City Officials as well as the other Carson City Departments;

On December 10, 2007, Child Support Enforcement functions were transferred to the State of Nevada;

Employment Opportunities

Carson City District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Chief Deputy District Attorney. Primary functions for this position are within the civil division and a strong command of civil law, particularly public law, labor law, employment law, open meeting law, contracts, and boards and commissions is required. The successful applicant will also possess excellent management and administrative skills. Salary $83,879-$117,430 with employer paid retirement and excellent benefits.
