Mission

Dispatch in days gone by!  Firefighters doubled up as dispatchers on a rotating basis!Carson City Dispatch Center is the Public Safety Dispatch in days gone by! Firefighters doubled up as dispatchers on a rotating basis!Answering Point (PSAP) for 911 calls placed in Carson City. Dispatching is provided for the Carson City Fire and Sheriff's departments and other public safety agencies Carson City.  The Carson City Dispatch Center staff consists of 14 dispatchers. 

Carson City Dispatch Center is responsible for receiving and disseminating Carson City 911 dispatchers in action! all calls for service, both emergency and non-emergency. Our dispatchers are employees of the Sheriff's Office and provide dispatching Carson City 911 dispatchers in action!services for public safety agencies in Carson City.

Programs

Carson City Dispatch Center not only processes emergency 911 calls, but also completes Dispatchers now operate from the new state-of-the-art center on Snyder Avenue. numerous activities in support of personnel, such as dispatching and monitoring primary and backup units, investigators, contacting and relaying pertinent information to the field, and to other agencies and businesses. Carson City Dispatch Center is also responsible for coordinating the communications for multi-agency events and incidents that occur in Carson City.

Dispatchers now operate from the new state-of-the-art center on Snyder Avenue. Common Questions based on experience, we have compiled a list of common questions relating to using 911.
