CUBA ISLAND CRUTCHFIELD (1891-1969) Third cousin of Will Rogers, Cuba Crutchfield, one of the early 20th century's biggest cowboy stars, lived a near-anonymous life in Reno.
REINHOLD SADLER (1848-1906) Ninth Governor of Nevada. Signed the Glove Contest bill which allowed prize fighting in Nevada, specifically Carson City. The result of this legislation was the Corbett-Fitzsimmons fight held March 17, 1897. Born in Czarnikau, Prussia (now Czarnkow, Poland), January 10, 1948.
