Carson City Recreation is a division of the Parks & Recreation Department and provides services to our community in the following areas:

Aquatics Facility
The Aquatic Facility consists of a 50-meter indoor pool with two 1-meter diving boards, training pool (depth of zero to 3.5 feet), a therapy pool, an outdoor pool with a 133-foot water slide, and a weight room. Lap and open swim, water aerobic classes, year-round swimming instruction, and programs for the disabled are among the programs offered.

Community Center and Bob Boldrick Theater
Community Center serves as the central facility for a multitude of programs and services. The gymnasium houses sports programs, summer camp, events, voting, and much more. The meeting rooms are used for seminars, government meetings (Board of Supervisors and various committees), training, and recreational classes. The Bob Boldrick Theater, with 767 general, 8 ADA and 8 companion seats, is a venue for musicals, concerts, dance recitals, and plays (both scholastic and theatrical).

Movers & Doers Program
The Movers & Doers program was created for persons with disabilities in order to include these citizens in recreational activities. A monthly calendar is mailed to all participants providing dates and times for activities such as bowling, movies & pizza, attending plays, basketball & baseball games, bingo, dances, and much more.
