DRAFT UPWP NOTICE
The public is invited to meet with staff, ask questions, and submit comments regarding the development of the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). The UPWP is a document that outlines the transportation planning and programming activities of CAMPO for fiscal years 2017 and 2018 (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018). Funding for CAMPO activities are made possible through the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as the three local entities within the CAMPO planning area – Carson City, Douglas County, and Lyon County. The work efforts to be undertaken and their associated costs and funding are described in the UPWP. The creation of this document is a federal requirement of CAMPO.
TIP AMENDMENT NOTICE
The public is invited to meet with staff, ask questions, and submit comments regarding an amendment to the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Federal Fiscal Years 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is a programming document for federally funded projects and projects of regional significance proposed within the CAMPO planning area over a four-year period. The amendment proposes to add an improvement project for Sierra Vista Lane to the TIP.
Copies of the current TIP and draft UPWP are available at the Carson City Public Works Department office located at 3505 Butti Way, as well as available for download on the CAMPO website at www.carsonareampo.com. Staff members are available Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to meet with the public and to answer any questions regarding the TIP. Public comments are encouraged and invited throughout the planning process.
Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) staff will be available in an “open house” format to individually answer questions and provide information. The public is encouraged to use this opportunity to provide input on the development of the UPWP and proposed TIP Amendment.
