Staff summary: This is a discussion only item to discuss the possible standard options related to renewable energy for projects in the Carson City Historic District.
F-2 HRC-10-004 Discussion only regarding an update of Certified Local Government grant 32-09-21834(2), Historic Structures report for the Brewery Arts Center and the Performance Hall. (Jennifer Pruitt)
Staff summary: Planning Division staff will provide the HRC and the general public with an update to the status of the 2009 Certified Local Government grant.
F-3 HRC-10-005 Discussion only regarding Training opportunities for the Historic Resources Commission members and general public for 2010-2011.
Staff summary: The title of the monthly training is Of Paint and Windows, Replace or Repair - That is the Question. The topic is an article by Bob Yapp, Preservation Resources, Inc., News from the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (NAPC). The article addresses one of the toughest issues for many historic preservation commissions, of how original materials that have served us well for hundreds and sometimes thousands of years are no longer useful, specifically as it relates to windows.
