Mayor's Institute on City Design
The Mayor's Institute on City Design is a program that conducts a series of intimate, closed-door symposia intended to offer a small group of invited mayors a better understanding of the design of american cities.  Each mayor presents a design issue from his city.  The mayors and designers discuss both generic and specific problems facing cities today, and explore how the public and private sectors can work together to improve the conditions of their cities.

On March 10, 2010 the Mayor traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to participate in a two-day conference of Mayors on City Design where he presented the Carson Nugget Economic Development Project.  The Mayor was given 20 minutes to present the project using PowerPoint.  After the presentation, there was a short period for clarification questions and then a discussion of the project by the participants.  The following information is a result of that conference.
