Community Support Services Grant
Carson City offers a Community Support Services Grant (CSSG) every year to fund projects and programs with the greatest potential for furthering the City’s goals while benefitting the community. These goals are:

A Healthy Community
An Active and Engaged Community
A Clean and Healthy Environment
A Vibrant, Diverse and Sustainable Economy
A Community Rich in History, Culture and the Arts
A Community Dedicated to Excellence in Education
A Physically and Socially Connected Community
A Community Where Information is Available to All
Funding is provided on an annual basis, with the program year from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors of the request, the grant money is included in the next succeeding year’s budget and will be distributed by the City Manager’s Office without further hearing. All grants approved shall be subject to funding availability.
2014 CSSG process
Applicants that received funding from the 2013 program year must submit an Annual Report with the 2013 application (if applying again) detailing all funds expended, measurable outcomes, and benefit to the citizens of Carson City. The completed Annual Report must be submitted to the Planning Division by the application deadline, which is January 17, 2014. If the applicant is not applying again then the Annual Report will be due by June 30th, 2014.
