The County Clerk is responsible for the administration of all elections and the registration of eligible electors within Carson City. He is responsible for informing the public, candidates, and elected officials of election laws and procedures for petition filing, candidate filing, voting, and registration. In accordance with state and federal laws, the Department is the custodian of all county registration records, election records and candidate filings.  The Elections Office is located on the first floor of the Carson City Courthouse, 885 East Musser Street, Suite 1025, Carson City, Nevada 89701.

The office is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.

2014 Elections

CLOSE OF REGISTRATION deadline for the Primary Election is:
Saturday, May 10 for Agency Registration, Field Registrars, and Voter Registration Drives.  All applications by mail must be postmarked by this date.

After May 10, you must appear in the Clerk's Office or register On-Line through Tuesday, May 20.  If you appear in person at the Clerks Office, you must provide proof of residence and identity.  

Primary Election, Tuesday, June 10, 2014
All Carson City Voters will vote at the Community Center ON Election Day


Early Voting begins May 24th at the County Courthouse, (see Early Voting Schedule below for details)

Sample Ballots for the Primary Election:

All active registered voters in Carson City with the correct mailing address will receive a sample ballot on or before May 24th.
