Practice and training day will be held on Friday, June 13, 1pm to 8pm in downtown Carson City. Training and competitive runs will be held on Saturday, June 14 on Carson Street, staging begins at 7:30am -- kick-off is at 8am. Both events are open to the public.
Christmas trees can be placed curbside on your regular trash collection day or take them to one of the drop-off locations.
Time to take pride in our city by pruning trees, shrubs and raking up leaves. Public Works will be out to pickup garden and yard debris beginning November 4th at 7:30 a.m.
Carson City Fire, Parks and Public Works departments invite the public to a display of equipment and demonstrations of their functions. Drinks & hot dogs will be served beginning at 5pm while they last.
National Library Week will kick-off April 14th with a week-long calendar of special programs. “Communities Matter @ Your Library,” this year’s theme, highlights the value of libraries, librarians and library workers in our community and brings featured programs @ your library. The library is the embedded heart of our community and the space for creativity and life-long learning. Nationwide, libraries are trusted places where citizens can gather to reconnect, engage and address local issues.

The Charter Review Committee is seeking public input for possible amendments to the Carson City Charter.
The results from the survey will be used as a resource to help develop a 20 plus year multi-modal regional transportation plan.
Open Expenditures, will provide a better understanding of how City dollars are spent, by providing the community access to the City’s financial information.

The Parks and Recreation Department would like to make trail users aware that there have been more reported incidents of coyotes attacking dogs.
See the presentation given on September 30 showing preliminary design concepts resulting from the public meetings and workshops. The design consultants plan on having a final report to the City by early 2016.
