Carson City Native returns for a book reading and signing

CARSON CITY, NEVADA- Deborah Andreasen, a Carson City native and author of two Young Adult novels, will be at the Carson City Library on Friday, April 26th starting at 4pm for a reading and book signing. She will also have copies of her books available for purchase.

After graduating from Cason High School with the class of 2002, Deborah (Crounk) Andreasen moved to Idaho and received her BS in Business Management and Finance. In 2008, her novel, The Gifted, was selected as a top 100 finalist out of 10,000 entries into The Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award (ABNA). It was released in March of 2011. The sequel, The Betrayed, was just released in March of 2013.

In The Gifted, outcast Pyper Wynn learns that her strange ability to move objects with her mind is actually a Gift given to her the day she died. She must now use it as a weapon in a battle for the throne in the realm of Fae. Publishers Weekly said, "This competent contemporary fantasy aims straight for the Twilight audience."

In The Betrayed, Pyper discovers that her world is not what it seems. She embarks on a dark and dangerous journey and makes an unlikely alliance in order to rid the Otherworld from an evil she can't defeat alone.
