The mission of Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space is
to provide exceptional parks, open space, and diverse recreational opportunities to
enhance the quality of life in Carson City, while preserving our natural resources for
future generations.

    In October 2018, Carson City became the 76th Bee City USA affiliate in the nation, and the first in the state – setting an example for the rest of Nevada to choose to promote pollinator populations too.

3rd Annual Carson City BOOnanza on Tuesday, October 29

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space and the Carson City Library invite the community to join us for our 3rd annual Carson City BOOnanza. This event attracts over a thousand kids and their families each year, and will be a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween. At the Carson City Community Center, over 50 local businesses and organizations will decorate spooky booths and pass out candy. Youth Theatre Carson City will give you a fright in their haunted house. Outside in the west parking lot, there will be food trucks and fun and games for all. Across the street at the Carson City Library, there will be games, craft activities, and a costume contest at 6:30 p.m. Thank you to the title sponsor Southwest Gas for helping make this event happen.

 WHAT:    3rd Annual Carson City BOOnanza

 WHERE: Carson City Community Center (851 E William St) and Carson City Library (900 N. Roop St.)

 WHEN: Tuesday, October 29, 2019 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

               Community Center Gym: Trick-or-treating and Haunted House

               Community Center West Parking Lot: Food Trucks and Carnival Games

               Carson City Library: Games and Crafts

               Costume Contest: Library at 6:30 p.m.
