Carson Aquatic Facility Temporary Therapy Pool Closure

Post Date:09/19/2017 3:59 PM

Subject: Carson Aquatic Facility Temporary Therapy Pool Closure

Contact: Mike Freeman 775-283-7351

Date: 9/19/2017

Time:  3PM

The Carson City Aquatic Center will be completing some needed maintenance on the roof of the facility. The floods earlier this year caused some leaks in various locations of the facility and the Parks and Recreation Department is working on getting the repairs completed before another winter season. Fortunately, this will impact the public little as the Therapy Pool is the only pool that will be closed during the maintenance period. Additionally, there may be some construction sounds throughout the Aquatic Facility while the maintenance is underway.

The Therapy Pool will be closed from Monday October 2nd through Sunday October 29th.

These operations will only affect the Therapy Pool; the rest of the Aquatic Facility will be open with regular programing.

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space appreciates your patience and support as the repairs are being made. The Carson Aquatic Facility is a great resource in this community and we are ensuring the facility remains usable, updated, and safe for the community’s use. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
