The Department of Alternative Sentencing supervises defendants convicted of a felony and awaiting sentencing. Defendants are sentenced to either felony probation with Nevada Parole and Probation or incarceration in a Nevada Department of Corrections prison. During this period, Department of Alternative Sentencing supervises defendants to ensure compliance with all imposed court conditions.
