Mail Ballots
Assembly Bill 321, enacted during the 81st Legislative Session, established that all active registered voters in the State of Nevada will be mailed a ballot for each election.
Voters will still retain the option to vote in person at a designated polling location within Carson City.
Individuals who register to vote within 13 days of an election will not be issued a mail ballot and will be required to vote in person, except in cases of emergency.
A voter may choose to opt out of receiving a mail ballot by completing and submitting a Mail Ballot Preference Form no later than 60 days prior to the election. If a voter has previously opted out and wishes to resume receiving a mail ballot, they must submit a new form to opt back in.
