The Carson City Utility Billing Division maintains records of water consumption, sewer use and payment histories for each utility customer.
The Carson City Landfill is located on 3600 Flint Drive. The Landfill is open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed Sundays.
The Capital Projects division provides technical expertise and support to construct Carson City's capital projects.
The Streets Division is responsible for maintaining the city’s streets, signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, City parking lots, paved bike paths, and storm water collection system.
Carson City’s Water Division oversees the city’s water production, distribution and metering, as well as maintaining the city’s fire hydrants and infrastructure.
The Carson City Public Works’ Storm Water Management Program division focuses on two areas: Floodplain Management and Storm Water Quality.
Carson City Public Works Transportation Division oversees the RTC, CAMPO and operates Jump Around Carson (JAC), the city’s public transit system.
The Carson City Environmental Control Authority (ECA) protects the city against toxic wastewater discharges and groundwater contamination.
The Sewer Division of Public Works operates and maintains the city’s sewer collection system.
The Water Resource Recovery Facility is responsible for wastewater reclamation, which includes treating domestic and industrial wastewater, overseeing sewage lift pump stations, laboratory monitoring, testing and recording of EPA compliance.
