CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM
Members of the public who wish to address the Cultural Commission may come forward and speak on matters related to the Commission. Comments may be limited to three minutes per person or topic. If your item requires extended discussion or action, please request the Chairperson to schedule the matter for a future meeting. No action may be taken on a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.

A. Introduction of the new Cultural Commission member, Elinor Bugli, Carson City Arts and Culture

B. For Possible Action: To approve a staff recommendation to allow the Carson City Convention and
Visitors Bureau to design the overhead banners on Fairview Drive’s light poles to present a
consistent tourism marketing message for Carson City instead of using the light poles as a venue for

C. Presentation and discussion only on the City of Reno's Public Art Master Plan and Cultural Master

D. For Possible Action: To schedule a tour of the City of Reno’s public art displays for the Cultural
Commission. (Commission members, Christine Fey, Resource Development and Cultural Affairs

E. Update on the Brewery Arts Center’s efforts to host an Arts Incubator of the Rockies Workshop in
Carson City, Nevada. (John Shelton, Brewery Arts Center, Executive Director / Vern L. Krahn)
F. For Possible Action: On the Board of Supervisors rejection of the Public Art Program and the
development of a new approach and funding source for the ordinance. (Roger Moellendorf /
Vern L. Krahn)
G. For Possible Action: To recommend to the Board of Supervisors to amend the Carson City
Municipal Code, Title 2, Chapter 2.41 to conform with the Board of Supervisors’ “Policies and
Procedures for Boards, Committees, and Commissions” approved on September 5, 2012. (Roger
Moellendorf / Vern L. Krahn)
H. For Possible Action: To develop a Cultural Commission’s project to honor the memory of Jeffery
Scott, Former Commission Chairperson. (Committee Members / Vern L. Krahn)
